Bosc de la Marquesa Foundation
We protect, conserve and sustainably develop the Forest
The Bosc de la Marquesa Foundation, founded in April 2022, is a non-profit organization committed to environmental protection and sustainability, naturally linked to the coastline and the Mediterranean forest of Tarragona. The main objective of this Foundation is to protect, conserve and sustainably develop the land, historic buildings, traditional agricultural facilities and its own natural resources, such as the well-known Bosc de la Marquesa and the natural space of the Mas Rabassa estate.

The Bosc de la Marquesa borders the Camping Las Palmeras and goes from Playa Larga to Punta de la Mora. There are about 90 hectares of forest and 30 hectares of protected sea in front of the Bosc. A pure and unique sample of the Mediterranean coast. Its ecosystem is of special scientific interest due to its unique species and the presence of priority habitats. Its characteristic name comes from Caridad Barraquer de Borràs who in the sixties, at the time of greatest urban speculation, rejected its sale, which allowed the natural conservation of the space.
The property of Camping Las Palmeras is the promoter and is part of the Board of Trustees of the Bosc de la Marquesa Foundation.
